SWITZERLAND

We had very limited time in Switzerland and hostels aren't that great to hang out in anyway so we hurried to do all that we could. We took a train up to Lauterbrunnen Valley which was so amazingly stunning! We spent the day hiking around there, seeing so many waterfalls, eating at little cafes, and exploring the towns in the valley. We went to Trummelbach Falls where we could see waterfalls in the mountain. We took a train even higher up to a little town called Wengen. The weather wasn't what we had hoped for, it was drizzling and cloudy so we were a little sad that we couldn't see the Alps in all their glory but even so, it was still one of our favorite days on the whole trip. It's hard to describe the beauty! (I couldn't resist posting so many pictures!)

This was the natural color of the water. It was amazing!
 Lauterbrunnen Valley, it was gorgeous!

We could have spent a whole week in this place!
Taking a tram into the mountain to see the falls
 Some of the falls
 We couldn't resist....
 I love this one!
 The Swiss Alps
We didn't want the baby to complain we never took him/her anywhere ;)
We had a delicious lunch at this little cafe
Swiss hot chocolate
We had to have a Swiss chocolate brownie!
Taking the train to a smaller town in the hills called Wengen
I had to take a picture of this cute little old man
Even with the clouds the view was amazing

We randomly heard these playing and had to find them

We had hoped to go to the Matterhorn the next day but since the weather wouldn't permit it we decided to head straight into Italy. Once again the train tickets from Switzerland to Venice were sold out so we bought tickets to Milan and once again we stepped off the train at midnight in Milan with no idea where to go or where we would be sleeping. We had an address for a hostel so we attempted to find it. It was down-pouring and we had our backpacks and the hostel was nowhere to be found (we still think it doesn't exist anymore). We contemplated sleeping at the park but the rain got even heavier so as we headed back to the train station to sleep there we found a cheap hotel that was heaven sent, so much so we accidentally overslept a lot ha ha

Yay! A hotel, we were wet, cold, hungry and tired but loving every minute of it :)
We met a friend on our train to Venice, we had a picnic on the floor since we didn't have a seat
