Olympic Triathlon (and baby's first sprint triathlon)
May 31, 2014

Last May Dan and I completed our first sprint triathlon. One year later we have both completed 3 sprints and a half marathon. Needless to say we have come a long way! We had decided to do the Olympic triathlon but then I found out I was pregnant so I decided to hold off. However, I did want to do a Sprint triathlon once before the baby comes, so we did the Bountiful Sprint Triathlon. I am glad that I chose to do that in April instead of the Olympic in May as it would have been miserable. I was a little slow and it was cold but I am still really glad I did it. Luckily Dan stayed by my side since I fell while running, I couldn't get up because I was laughing and was so stiff.

Made it!

I am glad that Dan decided to still do the Olympic race even though everyone bailed on him. He did an awesome job! He got the time he was going for and I am so proud of him! It was held in St. George at Sand Hollow and he started at 8am. Luckily they started that early because it was SO hot and any later we would have all died from the heat. He was right back at the gym on Monday ready to train for the next one.

It was a perfect place for the race since it was in St. George we were able to spend time with the family. We celebrated a few birthdays with a pinata and of course tons of food, we even had a movie night outside which I loved. We were also able to share the great news that we will be having a baby boy! Due October 11, 2014. I hope this little guy is ready, we have many more triathlons planned and he will be joining us ;)
